Hispanic Heritage Festival Coming to the

Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center on September 26, 2026

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. — The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation, in association with the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, will present the 3rd Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, 3050 East Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley.

Admission is free, and the festival is open to the entire community.

“Our 3rd Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival offers Simi Valley residents and surrounding communities an opportunity to come together for a free, family-friendly celebration of the vibrant traditions, artistry, history and contributions of Latino and Indigenous cultures,” said Gina Truncale, President of the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation.

Festival Highlights:

•Artisan Marketplace — More than 50 Latino artisans, community organizations, sponsors and nonprofit vendors will fill the Cultural Arts Center grounds. Guests can explore handcrafted art, jewelry, textiles and culturally inspired goods while supporting local artists, makers and small businesses. •Live Music & Dance — On the outdoor stage throughout the day, guests can enjoy performances representing Latin American and Indigenous cultures and traditions.

Grupo Folklórico Cielito Lindo de Simi Valley - dances from Mexico, El Salvador, and Columbia; Otero Dance Company - Argentinian dance; Flamenco! Santa Barbara & Timo Nuñez Arte Flamenco; Kalpulli Teotlalli Tepeyollotl - Aztec dancers; The Negrete Family Musicians - Banda Music; Los Diablos Agua Azul De Santiago Juxtlahuaca - Oaxacan dancers; Latin Gentz DJ dance music; Comunidad Hispana Santa Rosa De Lima - Peruvian music and dance. All performances are free and presented outdoors for maximum community accessibility.

• Latin Cuisine — Local food vendors will offer authentic dishes and regional flavors representing the diversity and richness of Latin American cuisine in the festival’s outdoor Food Court.

•Visual Art Exhibition — The Museum of Ventura County’s traveling exhibition EnFoque/In Focus: Mexican Indigenous Voices of Ventura County will feature photographs and narratives chronicling the enduring legacy and contributions of Mexican Indigenous communities throughout Ventura County as documented by photographer Diego Huerta. The exhibition will be presented in the Cultural Arts Center’s Gary Thomas Gallery and DownStage Theater/MPR.

Film Showcase — Curated by Jennifer Greco, Humberto Castaneda, Alex Castaneda, a series of culturally significant short films will explore themes of Resilience, Family & Community and Culture & Identity. Screenings will take place in the Cultural Arts Center’s Mainstage Theater and will include Q&A sessions with filmmakers following select viewing blocks.

Community Corner — Led by Art Trek of Newbury Park, families can participate in hands-on art experiences, including a collaborative community mural inspired by traditional Latino folk arts. Local Oaxacan weaver Benita Martinez will also demonstrate the traditional art of tapestry weaving, giving festivalgoers an opportunity to experience this beautiful art form firsthand.
