The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation

The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation celebrates over 30 years of supporting the arts in our community. First formed in 1994, the Foundation serves as the main fundraising arm of the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center.

This 21-member board includes seven members appointed by City Council and 14 members appointed by the Foundation. They provide critical operational support funds for the Cultural Arts Center, in addition to funding arts education programs and Share the Arts, a program that provides free tickets to low-income children, families, and adults with disabilities. The Foundation also produces the Simi Valley Spotlight Awards, an annual recognition and fundraising event.

Foundation Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Cultural Arts Center.

The City of Simi Valley is now accepting applications from community members eager to share their time and talents by serving on the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Foundation.  The City is currently recruiting to fill three vacancies.  The City Council appointed vacancies are for terms beginning July 1, 2026, and ending on June 30, 2030.

Board Member responsibilities include assisting with fundraising efforts, pursuing grant opportunities, securing sponsorships, and identifying alternative funding sources to ensure financial sustainability.  Members also help plan and support fundraising events.

Foundation Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Cultural Arts Center.
