The Arts Commission is responsible for promoting greater public participation in, and access to, arts and culture; exploring alternate sources of arts and culture funding; planning arts programs and events; developing a master cultural plan; applying for grants; reviewing the annual financial and operational plans for the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center; and reinforcing the arts as a vital, integral, and necessary component of life for all members of the community.
Meetings are scheduled quarterly, taking place at 3:30 p.m. on the third Wednesdays of February, April, September, and November.
Now Accepting Applications to Serve on the Simi Valley Arts Commission
The City of Simi Valley is now accepting applications from community members eager to share their time and talents by serving on the Simi Valley Arts Commission. The City is currently recruiting to fill three vacancies. The successful applicants' terms will be from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028. Applications may be submitted online at www.simivalley.org/ArtsCommissionApp until Friday, March 13, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
