Free Community Art Workshops at the Simi Valley Public Library
Learn, create, and connect at our free, hands-on visual arts workshops at the Simi Valley Public Library. Open to all ages and experience levels. A 2024 national poll reported that 86% of Americans use arts participation to support mental health, and 87% of those engaged with others report positive effects on well-being and social connection. (National Organization for Arts in Health)
The arts play a central role in enriching quality of life by fostering creativity, reflection, and shared experience. Increasingly, public health research affirms what arts organizations have long observed in practice: creative engagement supports emotional well-being, reduces stress, and strengthens social connection—key ingredients of healthy, resilient communities. When arts experiences are offered in inclusive, accessible public spaces, they create meaningful opportunities for connection, learning, and personal expression across all ages and backgrounds.
