Ron Borczon and Bill Arey Classical Guitar Concert

Come enjoy a very special reunion concert featuring two veteran

artists of the Aspen Music Festival! Ron Borczon and Bill Arey met in 1981 after Ron played a solo recital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After the recital they discovered that they lived across the street from each other as Ron was house sitting for the summer. They started the duet that year and began playing concerts together. They played around the United States and recorded a CD, “Twelve Strings: Transcriptions for Two Guitars" in 1988 and is available for listening on YouTube. This reunion concert series brings two old friends together with a program that they feel the audience will enjoy. Ron Borczon has two music degrees from Florida State University and a Masters Degree in Performance from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. He is a Professor Emeritus of Music at California State University, Northridge where he taught for 40 years and he continues to teach classical guitar at Moorpark College. Bill Arey has a music Performance Degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and continues to play in the Baton Rouge area. Tickets for this special concert are $22 for Adults, $20 for Seniors, and $17 for Students. Please note there is a $3 per ticket surcharge on all tickets whether purchased online or in person. All proceeds from this concert benefit the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center and help support arts programming for our community.
