A pop culture phenomenon comes to vibrant life on SVCAC’s Main Stage in Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. presented by SVCAC's Young Artists Playground (YAP) Monday After School program. The Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, and more through clever, tuneful songs, Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr is one of musical theatre’s brightest and most innovative shows. Tom, a young teacher nervously anticipating his first day on the job, tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his lesson plan emerge from the set and show him how to use imagination and song to teach his students! Memorable tunes like “Just a Bill”, “Interplanet Janet”, and “Conjunction Junction” bring Tom’s lesson plans vividly to life and show us all that knowledge is power!

Originally Conceived and Directed by Scott Ferguson

Book by Scott Ferguson, Kyle Hall, George Keating

Music and Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, Bob Dorough, Dave Frishberg,

Kathy Mandry, George Newall and Tom Yohe

School House Rock Live! Jr. is presented through special arrangements with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
