TAKE CARE: An Exhibition and Performances About Mental Health, Wellness & Community Care

The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, in partnership with Vibewell Ventura County, presents Take Care, a group exhibition and Main Stage performances exploring mental health, emotional wellness, healing, and resilience through art.

Featuring work by 46 regional artists, including featured Simi Valley artist Vanessa Morrow, the exhibition invites audiences to reflect on the ways we nurture ourselves, support our communities, and create meaningful connection in times of stress, uncertainty, and change. The opening reception includes special VibeWell performances by featured performing artitsts: Sade Champagne, Rob Write and Mazie Rudolph. Performances take place on June 18th at 7:30 PM on SVCAC’s Main Stage Theater.

Through painting, photography, and mixed media, artists share deeply personal and collective perspectives on care, vulnerability, recovery, and hope. The exhibition encourages open conversation around mental health while highlighting the transformative power of creativity and human connection. “Take care” is more than a casual farewell, it is an invitation to slow down, check in, and recognize that healing often requires intentional, ongoing acts of compassion toward ourselves and others.

This event is free to attend.
